Alex had a light bulb moment and decided to bring her sister’s artwork to life. His family and friends were overjoyed with the notion of manufacturing plush animals. Budsies was born as a result of their encouragement.

He set up a website where kids could share their artwork. Then he engaged designers to sew the plush creatures in an attempt to recreate the pictures. Alex used hypo-allergenic textiles to guarantee that even youngsters with allergies may have a Budsies friend.

His first Budsies for his sister was crude. He now has designers that use hypoallergenic textiles.

To order a Budsies, they submit an image of a child’s drawing, and the designers choose colors and sketch a pattern based on the image.

The toy is then sewed, stuffed, and mailed. Children like seeing a three-dimensional rendition of their artwork.

Following the development of the Budsies, Alex Furmansky approached Shark Tank investors for assistance in expanding into retail.

Alex offers $100,000 for a 5% stake in his firm, which is valued at $2 million.

He then proceeds to reveal a display of personalized Budsies and distributes some samples. He outlines the design and construction procedure. He further claims that the product costs $35 per unit and sells for $69 per unit.

The Sharks are dissatisfied with the fact that it takes 4 weeks to provide a product. In addition, he had only sold $94,000 in 7 months.

Mark is out of the agreement because he believes the firm is too easily replicated. Lori believes it is unsalable and has decided to leave the company.

Kevin is unsure how he will generate money, but he offers $100,000 for 50% ownership of the business, which is worth $200,000.

Alex then adds that Budsies makes pet duplicate plush toys as well as human reproductions. He gives each Shark a different version.

Daymond then challenges the valuation, and Alex explains how angel investment works to the Sharks, who scoff.

Robert withdraws from the business because he does not believe Alex will be able to make it through the following 12 months.

Meanwhile, Daymond offers $100,000 for 40% equity shares worth $250,000. Alex says he wants more money for a bigger proportion, and Daymond promptly exits.
