Shane Pannell invented the Sweep Easy. As a stay-at-home father of three, he founded the company. Sweep Easy LLC’s President is still Pannell.

Shane Pannell had the idea for the Sweep Easy broom while scraping up spilt food on his hands and knees in his kitchen.

Pannell made the sweep simple in his workshop. He spent roughly a month making the Sweep Easy broom.

Pannell pitched his idea to other businesses he believed might benefit from the broom.

He visited bakeries, movie theatres, and schools. Many people were fascinated once it was confirmed that the product would be anything.

In 2010, he attempted to trademark the Sweep Easy. He then started seeking for money. This investigation brought him to the Shark Tank.

Kevin increases his offer to $50,000 for 20% shares once Kevin Harrington arrives. He invites Kevin Harrington to go 50/50 with him, but Kevin Harrington declines Kevin O’Leary’s invitation. Harrington want greater power rather than a partner.

Robert Herjavec – joins Kevin O’Leary’s proposal, providing $80,000 in exchange for 25% stock.

Kevin Harrington accepts Daymond John’s invitation to go in with him. They match Herjavec’s offer of $80,000 for a 25% stake.

Panell wants to phone his wife, but the Sharks press him to respond. O’Leary offers to speak with Panell’s wife, putting him on the spot.

If Panell departs to contact his wife, John decreases his offer to $70,000 for 30%.

Panell, under duress, accepts John and Harrington’s offer of $80,000 for a 25% stake. He walks away from the Tank with a contract.
