Paper Box Pilots generated $75,000 in revenue during its first eight months. However, no information is available on subsequent years or the net worth of the company as of 2022.

What is Paper Box Pilots? Who is the founder of Paper Box Pilots?

Paper Box Pilots is a company that offers a kit that allows people to create unique toys out of old and discarded paper, such as airplanes, fire engines, and race cars.

The company provides attractive stickers that children can use to transform a plain box into a fun toy, with cutting instructions included in the package.

Noah Cahoon, who was just 13 years old at the time, founded the company. He is currently a college student at Brigham Young University, studying Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing.

In addition to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Noah has a passion for photography and enjoys capturing outdoor experiences such as skiing, climbing, and camping.

Noah is always enthusiastic about launching new ventures. He came up with the idea for Paper Box Pilots while helping his younger brother Milo make paper box planes. To make the planes look more realistic, Noah designed and printed instruments and decorations on paper.

After growing tired of sketching, he started printing pictures and attaching them to the boxes. Paper Box Pilots was born from this concept.

The sticker kit is available in three different versions: fire engine, airplane, and race car. Each kit costs $7.99 and comes with instructions for creating the perfect toy out of a box. Noah’s inspiration for this business came from his childhood experiences of making paper box planes with his father and embellishing them with his designs.

Noah had his “AHA moment” ten years later when his younger brother Milo was going through the paper box airplane phase of his life, and the business was born.

Noah and his father collaborated to create a collection of stickers for paper box cars, which they had professionally printed in the summer of 2013.

The business has since expanded and is now shipping globally. Noah takes great pleasure in knowing that his product is bringing joy to children everywhere.

Paper Box Pilots at Shark Tank Pitch

In season 6, episode 4 of Shark Tank, Noah Cahoon, co-founder of Paper Box Pilots, chose to pitch to the investors in hopes of breaking into retail chains.

At the start of the episode, Noah and his partner Brian expressed their difficulty in pitching their product to stores.

When they entered the Tank, they presented their product with CFO Milo and requested $35,000 for a 25% stake in the company at a valuation of $140,000.

Robert was impressed and stood up to test out the box, but there were questions about why the product was not yet being sold. Kevin sought clarification from the team.

Mark complimented the company’s packaging but believed that they set a high bar. However, Brian clarified that they do not encourage extravagant packaging.

The company currently has 23 retail locations and sells online. Brian stated that he has always wanted to be an entrepreneur and is assisting Noah in his business venture.

Kevin offered $35,000 in exchange for a 50% equity stake in the company, but Mark felt that he could not provide value and exited the deal.

Lori liked the product, but she did not believe that it was scalable, so she dropped out. However, she did offer Noah an internship in a few years.

Robert offered to supply the entire box and warned them not to deal with Kevin. He then made the same offer as Kevin.

Barbara compared Noah to Ryan of Ryan’s Barkery and offered $35,000 for 35% equity shares. She wanted to make it “female friendly” and requested that they include a box.

Robert raised his offer to $50,000 for 50% ownership of the company due to his toy business experience. In the end, Noah agreed to accept Kevin’s offer of $35,000 for 50% equity shares, and they left the pitch with a deal.

Despite having multiple sharks vying for his business in the Tank, Noah ultimately closed the deal with Kevin. Sales surged tenfold in the weeks following the initial air date of the show.

Shortly after the show, Noah proudly announced on the company website that the response to the show had been fantastic and that the business had doubled its total sales within a week of the segment airing.

The company had corporate social media pages mainly on Facebook and Twitter, but they do not appear to have been updated since mid-2015. Eventually, the company closed, and Noah went to college.
